Combo Wood Turned Writing Pen

Don Freriks of Birmingham, Alabama uses his love of wood turning to create handsome and unique writing instruments. This pen is made using a combination of woods to give it a sophisticated and one-of-a-kind look. Don begins the turns the wood on a lathe while hand chiseling the wood. He then sands it down to perfection and installs high quality Cross 7 mm hardware into the wood pen casing. Over the years, Don has fine tuned the style of his pens to develop this particular shape, which is supremely comfortable and smooth. It is a joy to write with. The pen pictured above is made from a combination of walnut, maple, and padauk woods with gunmetal finish hardware. Also available in maple and walnut with satin gold finish hardware (pictured left).
